Patient Transport Services

Unfortunately we do not have any vacancies for the PTS role at the moment.
Patient Transport Services (PTS) drive patients to and from their hospital appointments and, when required, help patients settle back home following appointments.
Typical duties of the role include:
  • Collecting and transferring patients from home to hospital appointments.
  • Helping/Lifting patients that are not able to make their own way to the ambulance.
  • Transporting safely and being punctual for all non- emergency appointments.
  • Support/help patients to settle back at home after appointments
  • Driving in a B Class vehicle essential, C Class vehicle an advantage.
  • Keeping Journey records updated and accurate.
  • PTS may deal with elderly people, people with a physical disability or mental health problems. A PTS may also need to transport people who are seriously ill with specific medical needs.
Qualifications and training required
  • As PTS you need a FREC 3 or First Aid at Work Certificate.
Minimum requirements for this role
  • Hold a current DBS.
  • Over 21-years of age.
  • Hold a full current driving licence for not less than 1 year, allowing up to a maximum of 6 points.
