Meet the Team

In 2016, whilst working Frontline 999 services for Surrey Ambulance Service and at the same time carrying out medical repatriation services across Europe for the Insurance sector, Sophia Burrell and Tim Mordaunt decided that they wanted to be able to use their skills and experience to provide a free of charge service to charities. That was where it all began for Platinum Ambulance Service.
In 2019, they bought Surrey Ambulance Service, which now operates under the ‘Platinum Ambulance’ brand and the company, and our team continues to go from strength to strength. Our high-trained crew of more than 200 people,  operate from our two bases, one in Shipley, West Sussex and our second base in Ripley, Surrey offering a wide range of services to the Public, Private and Charitable Sectors.  Further information regarding ‘Our Services’ and how we may be able to support you can be found on our homepage with links to more detailed information. Tim Mordaunt – CEO

Tim is a Paramedic, Care Quality Commission (CQC) Registered Manager and a Home Office Drug Licence Holder.

Sophia Burrell – HR Director

Sophie is a Paramedic and the Safeguarding lead for the business

Bill Baverstock – Operations Director

Bill is responsible for the Scheduling Management of our Frontline crews and Compliance in the Business

Annabel Dugdale – PTS Manager

Annabel is responsible for managing our Ambulance Care Assistant team and working with our Patient Transport Services clients.

Grazina Mpofu – HR Manager

Grazina is responsible for managing our HR and Recruitment activities across the business.

Martin Somers – Clinical Lead

Martin is a Paramedic and Clinical Lead for the business. He also has responsibility for our feedback management
